Fundraising Coordinator
Fundraising is the main source of income allowing Uzima to finance its projects and reach its mission. We are looking for an experienced fundraising coordinator to strengthen our fundraising activities and raise more funds. The role reports to the Finance Manager and the Executive Director.
Plan and administer the annual fundraising budget with the Finance Manager; plan, develop and execute direct online and mail campaigns; identify and solicit major gift prospects; manage efforts to identify, solicit, communicate with, track and renew annual donors; prepare proposals to government, corporations, foundations and private granting agencies; plan and execute all fundraising events, including corporate sponsorship and logistics; implement staff fundraising initiatives with partner support; develop and distribute the Annual Report and e-newsletters.
University degree in commerce, business administration or a related field with excellent accounting knowledge; minimum two years in the non-profit sector or a similar role; demonstrated success planning and executing fundraising campaigns or marketing events; excellent grant writing and prospect research skills; strong knowledge of fundraising tools, budgets, and online and direct mail campaigns; highly organized, digitally proficient and results oriented. Bilingual English/French an asset; G licence and vehicle an asset.
